Talking and listening at Lifetime
Making sure all of our people are engaged, connected and up-to-date is essential to delivering for our learners and employer partners.
We’ve put in place systems and structures to allow us all to communicate effectively and encourage people to reach out and share their experiences and knowledge.
We also encourage engagement by rewarding and recognising our talented, aspirational and pioneering people, through our Lifetime Spirit Awards for those Life Changing People who truly live and breathe our DNA.
beHEARD at Lifetime
We aim to be a great place to work. So, as well as putting in place all of the things that make working here better, we also ask for feedback to see if we’re getting it right.
Every year our people tell us what they think in Lifetime’s annual beHEARD engagement survey - and the results speak for themselves! We consistently have a high response rate and score highly relating to how people feel about their managers, the people they work with and feeling as if they are contributing to something that matters.
To make sure that we are staying on track we also run a mid-point Pulse survey and participate in the annual Best Companies survey to ensure that we have a range of regular channels for our people to tell us what they want and how we are doing as an employer.

At Lifetime we believe your voice is one of the most important tools you own, and we welcome two-way communication with open arms. Our quarterly business updates and employee forums ensure you have your say on how we work together and we have a scheme ‘Ask Alex’ where you can email our CEO directly to ask questions to find out more about the business.
We also have monthly online newsbeats and our digital magazine, The Life Times, is published every quarter. Together, all these communications help you to know what is happening across the business and industry you work in, and offers an opportunity for you to make your contribution and let your voice be heard.
As Life-Changing People we are passionate, pioneering and aspirational about transforming lives and this extends beyond our people, our learners and our employer partners.
Lifetime cares about charity, which is why we have many activities you can get involved in. For example, our Pennies from Heaven scheme enables our employees to donate the additional pennies from their salary every month to our nominated charities and on the last Friday of every month our dress-down day is dedicated to a charity nominated by our employees.
We also hold events and activities throughout the year where everyone can get involved.
Being social at Lifetime
We are a sociable bunch at Lifetime so organised events outside of work is one of the ways we bring everyone together.
From big events like our Lifetime Conference and our 20th Birthday celebration to more localised activities such as team nights out, sector get-togethers, sports events and competitions, we make sure that we have plenty going on to appeal to all tastes, interests and locations.
