Meet Rachael

Rachael joined the business as part of a new project to support our learners with their functional skills. Meeting with learners everyday and assessing where they need support is key to Rachael being able to deliver the tailored learning that her learners need. Alongside our Regional Apprenticeship Trainers, Rachael works with learners to ensure that they achieve their apprenticeships and can develop their careers. Rachael’s most prized possession is a sheep called Eric who she has had since she was born (a crochet sheep - not a real one!)

I couldn’t wish for a better team; a good ethos to work within and a supportive company

Positive feedback from people who have previously worked for the company, large company with lots of opportunities to upskill.

I am part of a great team. Supported by my manager and the rest of my team, I get to set my own calendar for where I am going to be and what I will be delivering and most of the time I am out and about meeting new people and delivering bespoke teaching sessions, 1-2-1 or to small groups.

A mixture of visiting apprentices in the workplace delivering teaching and learning sessions as well as preparing and invigilating exams.  No two days are ever the same!

I am a small cog in an enormous wheel – we are all working together to deliver high quality, interesting and dynamic bespoke qualifications to apprentices to assist them to reach their potential.

Being professional and courteous, willing to contribute, able to work and collaborate with a wide variety of people, willing to put that bit ‘extra’ into your role.

I am part of a great team delivering functional skills in London and the South and we are a good sounding board and support network for each other. My Area Manager and Teacher Trainer  are easy to talk to, always willing to help and support me as well as being enthusiastic.

Being able to inform apprentices they have completed their exams successfully.

There have been lots of challenges trying to engage hard to reach learners – I have overcome this with patience and perseverance.

Great! I couldn’t have wished for a better team, a good ethos to work within and a supportive company.

Lifetime have a good structured Ways of Working (WOW) which encourages independence. The culture is to work well, efficiently and productively as well as think independently and importantly to take pride in and enjoy what you do.
