Meet Chris

Chris’s role as an Area Manager sees him coaching and supporting his team of Regional Apprenticeship Trainers to help them deliver the best possible experience to our learners and ensuring that they are demonstrating our DNA behaviors in all that they do. Having been an Regional Apprenticeship Trainer himself he is is able to relate to his team members and share his own skills and knowledge to drive their performance. His ideal dinner guests would be Peter Jones, Alan Shearer, Winston Churchill and Lawrence Dallagio - all strong leaders, just like Chris.

I started as an apprenticeship trainer nearly 5 years ago. I have worked as a Curriculum Designer for a year until recently starting as an Area Manager.

Working within the WOW (Ways of Working) metrics is key. This is set up to ensure success. If every person followed these, success would be inevitable.

The challenge is to always be spinning multiple plates as the role is so varied. Staying positive and taking one day at a time is important. It is also vital to ensure you keep track of what you need to achieve and by when, prioritising the most important
