Meet Mike

Mike is one of our Course Advisors, speaking to potential employer partners and learners daily to explain the principles of apprenticeships and how Lifetime can support them. Mike is a great team player and dedicated to helping others. As well as championing ‘Waistcoat Wednesdays’ he has written a children’s book which he used to raise money for the Stroke Association.

It is very rewarding when you speak to a learner especially when they are really grateful and happy that they qualify for the course.

It appealed to me because the role of a Course Advisor helps people to better themselves.  I enjoy learning new things and really enjoy building rapport and providing really good customer service.  I am doing a Business Administration NVQ Level 3.

It is very rewarding when you speak to a learner especially when they are really grateful and happy that they qualify for the course.

I call our key accounts to establish if the manager requires any training for their staff.  I receive inbound calls usually to qualify staff members.  I deal with email queries and we have a daily brief.

My role as a Course Advisor is a key role in building relationships with our key accounts and focusing on quality when working to our targets.  The last quarter was the best ever and it felt really good that we all contributed to the success of Lifetime.

Motivation is a key and having a great team ethic.  Helping each other and working as part of a team.  It is important to be yourself and to take ownership to give your best every day.

My Team Leader is a great support and encourages me to reach my potential and to develop my skills.  We have daily briefings and we are encouraged to discuss and share information.

It is a busy job and I find it rewarding.  It is a really friendly place to work and there are opportunities to progress.  It has lots of good benefits including free social events, free tea/coffee and fruit.
