Meet Rachel

Rachel is one of our valuable HR Business Partners supporting the business and our teams to ensure we are delivering our people strategy and working with managers to sustain and develop a high performaning culture. Constantly working to engage our colleagues and embed our DNA behaviours Rachel ensures that we constantly strive to be the very best at what we do through our people. Rachel’s childhood dream came true when her husband took her to see Robbie Williams in concert as a birthday gift. She was so excited that when he came on stage she burst into tears (of happiness we might add!)

I love the fast paced environment and working with people who are passionate about what they do

I wanted to work for a growing and successful company whose purpose and values I believed in. I am a big believer in the power learning has in our lives to enable us to become the best version of ourselves. I liked that Lifetime’s mission aligns with that and aspires to positively change people’s lives. I wanted to be part of the life-changing community at Lifetime.

I love the fast paced environment and working with people who are passionate about what they do. As Lifetime is growing there are lots of projects to get involved in and opportunity for me to contribute to new ways of working.

My days are always varied which is another thing I like about my job. I could be involved in strategic management meetings, coaching managers in relation to their team members or working on HR related projects. In general there tends to be a lot of talking, problem solving and debate, which I love!

I work with managers to support them in sustaining and developing a high performance working environment, ensuring we are supporting our talented people to develop and that we are engaging with our teams to recognise and reward the hard work they do on a daily basis.

Someone is successful at Lifetime if they work collaboratively with others, take responsibility for their work and their development, and always strive for excellence in their work.

I am most proud of getting positive feedback on the work I have done so far. I aspire to continue to in this way as my career at Lifetime continues.

The challenge for me so far has just been to get up to speed on the Lifetime way of working to make sure I can add value in the role that I do. The way I have approached this is to talk to as many people as possible, attend lots of meetings and read all the useful information contained in our online learning platform – FUSE.

I feel like I am able to be myself and I am recognised for my efforts. There is always a lot to learn especially with change being a constant factor which keeps thing interesting and fresh. The day flies by and it makes me strive to do the best job I can possibly do. There is also a fun and social side which is great such as team nights out and support hub activities such as rounders and charity dress down Fridays.

I am encouraged to stretch my abilities and I am trusted to use my own initiative wherever possible. I can also always talk through things with other members of the HR Team.

It is high energy, continually evolving, friendly and motivating.

I think for me Lifetime is open to making changes and working in a collaborative way. I also like how the passion to succeed runs throughout the company

Do it! Get to learn as much as you can about Lifetime during the recruitment stages so you can be sure it is the right company for you. If you like working somewhere that is pioneering and aspires to be the best it can be, then this is the place for you.
