Meet Emma

Having started with Lifetime as a temporary worker to support a big growth project, we quickly snapped her up and recruited her on a permanent basis. Emma works with our hiring managers, supporting them with their recruitment. From attracting the very best talent, to interviewing and hiring, Emma drives our resourcing strategy to bring on board more Life Changing People. Emma is a self-confessed ‘crazy cat lady’ and lavishes affection on her two persian moggies.

I have honestly never worked somewhere where everybody is so nice. Lifetime as a company is so dynamic and flexible in its approach to new ideas.

I was given an opportunity to do a temp contract for the Resourcing Team and off the back of its success I was fortunate enough to receive a permanent contract.

The people. I have honestly never worked somewhere where everybody is so nice. We work collaboratively as a team and lifetime as a company is so dynamic and flexible in its approach to new ideas and working techniques.

I support hiring managers with their vacancies following the new recruitment process from start to finish.

I help attract a good caliber of candidates for our roles here at Lifetime.  I also help ensure that candidates have a positive experience through the recruitment process.  I also believe moving forward we will be ensuring that we focus on more direct attraction of candidates which will help increase our employer brand and engage candidates from first point of contact.

Their attitudes and dedication to their job roles.  Everyone works so well as a team and we all support each other in achieving the best possible outcomes for the company.

My biggest achievement has been recruiting for the Functional Skills Tutors. I recruited over over 40 tutors for an entirely new department and I believe I did this effectively and efficiently.  I also helped create a new recruitment process with my manager which we have now implemented across all sectors and so far it is working really well

I have a solid management structure in place, so always have someone to assist me with tasks I may need help with. I get regular performance reviews and I am lucky enough to have a manager that will always free up some time for me if I need a 1-2-1.  There is constant praise for good performance and achievement in Lifetime so I always feel like the work I do is recognised and valued.

My biggest challenge has been effectively managing around 50 vacancies at any one time. This means liaising with all hiring managers and operations managers across my sectors. There is a lot of urgency within my role to complete tasks and attention to detail is key to ensure a smooth recruitment process for both the candidate and the hiring managers.

From my experience this is honestly the most exciting and dynamic company I have ever worked for.  The opportunities here are endless and your voice always matters. New ideas are welcomed and the people that work here are among the nicest I have ever met.  Although daily challenges are faced and the pressure is on a lot to get things done quickly and efficiently, I never feel like I am being pushed to do things I cant complete in time.  Coming in to work is a pleasure.

It’s a flexible and dynamic working culture that encourages people to be their own person and not push them to be something they’re not.

DO IT! You won’t regret it. If you want good career prospects and to work with a great bunch of people then Lifetime is the way forward.
