Having started her career with Lifetime in a support and sales role Helen is now managing a team within the Apprentice Recruitment department. She works closely with our employer partners and coaches and motivates her team to deliver the very best whilst demonstrating our Lifetime DNA. Helen would love to host a dinner party with some Hollywood hotshots including Jennifer Aniston, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks and for that little bit of humour Michael McIntyre (not so Hollywood, more hilarious).
We are all working towards the same goal; we join together to support each other
I knew apprenticeships were growing and after my interview had seen the progress Lifetime had already made.
The learners are at the heart of everything we do and this is reflected in the values that Lifetime have and as a company we really care about the people that we enroll onto our apprenticeships. Lifetime very much follow the ethos of promoting within and will develop their staff where possible to help them progress.
On a typical day I will check the status of our apprentices placed to ensure we are on track to hit our monthly targets. I manage six coordinators who work in the Apprenticeship Recruitment department and two Administrators, one of which is an apprentice who is currently in training within the role.
I started Lifetime six years ago as an Administrator, assisting with the placement of apprentices into work. I then moved into an Apprentice Coordinator position where I directly recruited apprentices into apprenticeship positions. After eight months, I moved into the Senior Apprenticeship Coordinator position. I have now been working as Team Leader in the Apprenticeship Recruitment department for almost a year looking after the Fitness and Care teams.
Team leading the Care and Fitness Apprentice Recruitment Team means that we directly contribute to the targets and success of Lifetime.
Someone who has the passion to help people upskill and has the motivation to progress.
My biggest achievement has been my movement through the Apprenticeship Recruitment department and my development into a Team Leader position.
I am hugely supported by my manager, to progress and he has encouraged me to continuously move forward in my role - he has helped me massively over the last six years build on my skills and confidence in this position.
My biggest challenge has been the transition from being in a sales role where I had my own targets and managed my own working day compared to the Team Leader role where I am responsible for a team of people and ensuring they hit their own targets as well as the team target. Although this has been challenging, it has been enjoyable and I’ve enjoyed the challenge
Lifetime has a great atmosphere and new starters are always first to comment on how welcoming the company is and in particular how enjoyable the office is to work in.
The work that Lifetime does directly impacts the employers and learners that we work with and has a continuous positive impact on both parties.
If you are looking for a rewarding role and to work within a company who are directly impacting and upskilling, not only people who are currently working in a position, but employing people into their dream roles, then apply today!
